Common Questions
Booking, refunds, downloads, mentoring and your account. Still stuck? Ask us.
Booking
Pick a mentor, choose an open time and pay at checkout. The booking is confirmed as soon as the payment goes through, and there’s no subscription. Browse every open time on the Lineup, or switch to the calendar view to see who’s open this week.
You get a confirmation email, and the session appears under My Sessions on your dashboard, where you can add it to your calendar. Send your mentor a short brief (the track and what you’re stuck on) so the call starts on your music. The meeting link shows up on your dashboard once your mentor adds it, and you both get a reminder before the session.
Each mentor sets their own prices, shown in US dollars on their profile, the Lineup and again before you pay. There’s no booking fee on top. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it and may charge a small fee.
Always your own. Your browser’s timezone is shown next to the times on booking pages.
Some mentors offer free intro sessions, marked Free. Group sessions show how many seats are left; each person books their own seat.
Packages are several sessions with one mentor, bought together and booked one at a time from your dashboard. They don’t expire while the mentor is on Label Ready Hub. Gifts send a code the recipient redeems on their own account; a code works once. Promo codes are entered at checkout and follow the conditions shown with them.
Co-signs and demos
When a mentor you’ve worked with thinks a track is ready, they can put their name to it. The labels on here see that name, and a note from the mentor, on your demo. It tells them someone who makes records sat with you and heard the track through.
Work on the track with a mentor. When they think it’s ready, they’ll mark it label-ready and you’ll be told. Then, on Send a demo, pick the session the track came from and your mentor is asked to co-sign it. Most tracks take more than one session to get there, and there’s no rush.
No. Booking a session never guarantees one, and there’s nothing you can buy that does. A co-sign only means something to a label because the mentor chose to give it.
Your demo still reaches every label you picked, just without their name on it. Passing isn’t a verdict on you. Often it means one more session on the track first.
Go to Send a demo, pick up to three labels that are taking demos, and add a private streaming link. It lands in each label’s private inbox, and each one can reply to you directly on the demo. Some labels only take co-signed demos; their page says so.
You’ll see it on your demo, and the label will talk terms with you directly. When it’s out, it can go up on the success stories with your mentor named on it — only if you’re happy for it to.
Cancellations and problems
Yes, from My Sessions on your dashboard. Your cut-off is your mentor’s booking notice, which each mentor sets (from 1 hour to 1 week) and which is shown before you pay. Cancel at least that long before the start and you’re refunded in full automatically, or the session goes back into your package. Cancelling later than that isn’t refunded, because by then nobody else can book that time. Reschedule cancels the booking under the same rule and takes you straight to pick a new time.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. If yours hasn’t arrived after that, contact support.
Message them first, as a session running a few minutes late is usually just that. If they haven’t joined within 15 minutes, use Mentor didn’t show up on your dashboard within 48 hours of the session’s end. We review it, and if the no-show is confirmed you’re refunded in full, or the session is added back to your package.
If you haven’t joined within 15 minutes and haven’t messaged your mentor, they can mark it as a no-show, which counts as a delivered session and isn’t refunded. Running late? Message your mentor from the chat.
Use the support form or email support@labelreadyhub.uk, and we’ll get back to you.
Resources and downloads
Yes. Buying or claiming a download gives you a licence to use it in your own productions, including releases you sell, unless the product page says otherwise. You can’t resell, share or redistribute the files themselves. The full licence is in section 9 of our Terms.
Because downloads are available straight away, they aren’t refundable once downloaded, unless the file is faulty or not as described. Contact support if something’s wrong. Your purchases stay under Your Resources on your dashboard, so you can download them again any time.
Mentors
Mentors connect a Stripe account from their dashboard, and each booking is paid straight to it. Label Ready Hub takes a 15% commission on the standard tier, or 3% with the optional VIP membership ($79.99 a month, cancel any time). Payouts are released after the session has taken place. Full details are on For Mentors.
Apply on the mentor application page. Every application is reviewed by hand, and you only appear on the Lineup once you’re approved and have set up payouts.
Account, payments and privacy
All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Your mentor sees your name, email and what you wrote for your session. Your display name, photo and posts are visible in the community. Everything else stays private. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
Students can delete their account from Settings. Mentors should contact support so upcoming sessions can be handed off first.
Label Ready Hub is for booking one-to-one sessions and buying resources. Label Ready Academy is our community on Skool, where the Label Ready A&R team critiques a track every week, with monthly live feedback calls and the full module library.
